The electricity rate goes up and sometimes goes down. Gas price hike is always surprising. And people are left with no choice but to live with it. It is just too bad that we can never really do away with the use of energy because almost everything is run by it. It is on our own creative ways that we can discover methods or ways to save on energy. There are a lot of good blogs and reading materials that give tips towards effective saving of energy. I know a lot of private companies who turn off everything run by electricity during lunch break. Some offices also implement “sleep time” during lunch break to which they turn off the lights and computers to take an hour of snooze. I actually like this policy and I wish that we have the same system in our office. In terms of gas consumption, we all know that the MRT implemented the by-stations parking lots. This program is designed for people who own a private vehicle. People can park their cars in the station and ride the train to get to their place of destination. This program is perceived to be effective in diminishing traffic jam especially during rush hours and of course this can really help people save on their gas.
It is really true that we can’t help but be creative in times of scarcity and flying prices. And I heard a new addition to creating new generation energy has plastics as its source. Hmmm talk about Plastic Bag Facts. So now, we can never really say that hope is nowhere to be found now on earth. Hope is within us all, we just need to be a little creative.
